World Cup 2026 coming to North America

Congratulations to the joint Canada-Mexico-US bid committee for winning the rights to host World Cup 2026. Morocco also had a good proposal and were classy in defeat. Hats off to the North African bid. We hope to see more World Cups in Africa in the future.

The games will be shared between the three countries, with the US having more games than Canada and Mexico. It has been been touted Canada and Mexico will host 10 games each, but this is not set in stone. All three countries certainly have the infrastructure and public support to host a World Cup.

This also means some games will be played in the hometown of The Overhead Kick: Montreal! We look forward to seeing World Cup action in our Olympic Stadium, which can seat more than 60000.

2026 cannot come soon enough!
